Your phone is the network. Nothing else is.
Blubing doesn't use a server or a mobile signal. Phones running Blubing find each other over Bluetooth Low Energy and pass messages directly. When a friend is out of reach, the messages travel through other Blubing phones nearby.
Open the app
Pick a name, an emoji and a colour. There's no sign-up, email or phone number.
See who's around
Everyone nearby with Blubing open shows up on your radar, from right next to you to across the room.
Say hi
Wave, chat, start a group or a game. If someone walks out of range, your message waits and is delivered when you meet again.
Everything a messenger does. Minus the internet.
Chat with zero signal
Festivals, flights, campuses, hikes, crowded stadiums: Blubing works where the mobile network doesn't.
- Read receipts, replies, reactions and typing indicators
- Photos, files and voice notes, sent phone to phone
- Disappearing messages, with a timer you choose
Groups, polls and stickers
Make a group for the crew, run a quick poll on where to eat, and answer with a Blu for every mood.
- Private groups, each message sealed separately for every member
- Polls in any chat or group
- 18 animated Blu stickers and a full set of Blu emoji
A room and a board for right here
Talk to everyone in range at once, or pin a post for the people around you. Posts are signed by their author, spread from phone to phone, and fade away after a few hours.
- Invites with a time and place
- Public votes
- Offers, notes, and lost and found
Find friends in a crowd
Lost each other at the concert? Ask to find your friend. Once they say yes, Blubing shows how close they are and which way to turn. Sharing stops after 10 minutes.
- Works only when both of you agree
- Distance from Bluetooth signal, no GPS or location
Play together, offline
Challenge the person across the table, or play a quick round on your own against Blu.
- Chess, Four in a Row, Reversi, Dots and Boxes and Gomoku
- Imposter and Bluff Dice for a whole group
Private by design. Not by promise.
Blubing has no servers, so there's nowhere for your messages to be stored, sold or leaked. The app doesn't even ask Android for internet access, so it can't send anything online, even by mistake.
End-to-end encrypted
Each message is sealed for the person it's meant for, so anyone listening to the radio, or a phone passing it along, sees only scrambled bytes.
No internet permission
Blubing works only over Bluetooth. It can't reach a server, and you can check that in its Android permissions.
No account
There's no sign-up, email, phone number or contact upload. Your identity is a key made on your phone.
Stays on your phone
Chats, contacts and the people you've met are stored only on your device, and nobody else holds a copy.
Check it's really them
Compare six Blus with your friend, side by side. If they match, nobody is listening in between.
Gone in a shake
Ghost mode, app lock, and a panic wipe that erases every chat and your identity at once.
Questions, answered.
How far does Blubing reach?
Usually 10 to 50 metres between two phones, depending on walls and crowds. Messages can also hop through other Blubing phones, so a busy place reaches further.
Do I need mobile data or Wi-Fi?
No. Blubing uses only Bluetooth. It works on a plane, underground, at a festival with no signal, or with your data switched off.
What happens if my friend leaves?
Your message waits on your phone and is delivered automatically when you're back in range. Two Blubing phones near you can also carry it, sealed so they can't read it.
Who can see me?
Only people near you who have Blubing open. They see your name, emoji, colour, status and interests, and nothing else. Turn on ghost mode to see others without appearing on their radar.
Can anyone read my messages?
No. Messages are end-to-end encrypted on your phone and decrypted only on the phone they're sent to. There's no server, so there's no copy anywhere else.
Does it work on iPhone?
Blubing is launching on Android first. An iPhone version is in development.
Good company. No internet needed.
Blubing is coming soon to Google Play.
Bluetooth only
